Lantern Festival brings students together
We celebrated the Lantern Festival on Level 1 of the campus today.
The event marked the end of the Lunar New Year with decorations, a talk and video about the festival’s significance, traditional Chinese games, and delicious food.
Students took part in activities such as writing Chinese characters, making decorations, and a chopstick challenge with ping pong balls. To make the game fairer, Chinese students had to use their left hand.
The festival provided a chance for students to connect with others from different programmes and cultures. It was an opportunity for those familiar with the vibrant tradition to feel at home and for others to experience a new culture.
Thank you to the Chinese Student Community for organising this event for us.
