Success Story: Balaram Mahato
Recent Bachelor of Information Technology graduate Balaram Mahato enjoyed the supportive and friendly environment here at Otago Polytechnic Auckland International Campus.
Balaram came to New Zealand from Nepal to pursue his international studies. He has previously worked as an ICT Support Technician.
He says the best parts about studying at OPAIC were the lecturers.
“They were very supportive and friendly. They listen to the issues of students.”
While adapting to a new way of learning in a new country presented some challenges at first, Balaram got all the support he needed to perform well in his studies here at OPAIC.
“The tutor is always there to help you. You can even consult a peer tutor.”
Now that Balaram’s completed his bachelor’s degree, he will continue his work in the IT industry. He’s also considering enrolling in a master’s degree in the future.
Balaram believes OPAIC is one of the best institutes that international students can select for their studies.
“It’s one of the best colleges for international students. They always provide support to their students and listen to their problems.”
